Neck & Face Lifts

Medical Name: Rhytidectomy

Also Known As: The Facelift

Description: The facelift is the second most popular cosmetic surgery procedure. The facelift is performed to remove excess sagging skin from the face and neck to alter or camouflage the evidence of aging. Many men and women find they feel better than they look and agree the psychological, as well as aesthetic changes, can be remarkable.

The Procedure: The incision is hidden inside the tragus, that little cartilage in front of the ear canal, behind the ear and into the hair, not the hairline, to hide the incisions. Excess fat under the jaw and chin is removed to improve the contour of the jaw line and neck.

Dr. Hanna’s Notes: Through my experience, I have found by tightening the skin along with the underlying tissue and facial muscles, I can achieve a more natural appearance and also prolong the benefits of the facelift. If needed Liposculpture can be performed on a face with excess fat around the cheeks, jowls, and under the chin. This would accentuate the cheekbones and jowl line, giving the face a younger and more attractive appearance.

As the years pass after the initial facelift, a tuck up can be performed. This keeps the face trim, more youthful looking, and helps prevent further wrinkles from developing around the face.
