The Procedure: A silastic chin implant is inserted through a small incision in the natural crease just under the chin. The result is to increase the forward position of the chin, creating a more aesthetically pleasing profile.

Dr. Hanna’s Notes: In considering the face as a whole an underdeveloped receding chin will accentuate any existing facial imbalance. A chin implant may sometimes be performed in conjunction with nasal contouring, a submental lipectomy, or a facelift, resulting in a beautiful contour and profile along with a graceful neck and in some cases, to achieve a more natural balance.
